Blood Drive In Honor Of Lauren Cunningham

LIMA — A blood drive in honor of 12-year-old Lauren Cunningham is being held from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, at the American Red Cross Allen County Chapter House. Cunningham was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014, and has received more than 80 blood transfusions during her treatment. Her efforts to recruit blood donors through Team Lauren Blood Drives was recently featured by the Red Cross in a national winter blood donation campaign, inspiring people across the country to donate blood in their communities. To date five blood drives held in Cunningham’s honor have brought in 278 blood donations.
