About a month ago, if you want access to your Dropbox files from your Windows Mobile phone, your only option is Ruttensoft's CloudFiles. Now, they have a competitor - Droppedboxx. It's not as fully featured as CloudFiles, but it gets the job done, especially if all you want to do is ftp between your phone and your Dropbox account.
The only feature I miss from CloudFiles is the internal text editor, but I can live without it. Price wise, the official releases for Cloud Files and Droppedboxx are $6.99 and $2.99 respectively.
You can download the beta release of Droppedboxx for free at xda-developers.com. Cloud Files offers a 7-day free trial.
Overall, Cloud Files is the better off the two with a lot more features. I feel like Droppedboxx is playing catch-up, but it does cost less. Its interface is also more intuitive and less cluttered.
Since my trial with CloudFiles ended, I installed the beta version of Droppedboxx on my HD2. Once I actually start to use it on a regular basis, I'll decide which one to buy. Since installing the beta version of CloudFiles, I actually haven't used it much. I was planning on using it for coding, but it's kinda hard to code on a 4.3" screen.
Before you pay for either of these, I would install the free or trial versions first to see how often you actually use these tools. Like me, you might just be installing it out of excitement of seeing one of your favorite apps being ported over to your phone.
UPDATE: Ok, I take it back. Droppedboxx's userface is pretty confusing. I still couldn't figure out how to download a file.
