The National Park Service named the first two employees of the new Katahdin Woods & Waters National Monument on Thursday. Tim Hudson, a Bangor resident who has worked for the National Park Service since the 1960s, will serve as superintendent of the new 87,500-acre national monument created by President Obama on Wednesday.
