The Bang Bang Club / ** (unrated)

"The Bang Bang Club" (Unrated, 109 minutes). Many of the photos of the bloody final months of apartheid were taken by four photographers who became famous as "The Bang Bang Club." Two of them won Pulitzers. The word often used about them was "courageous," but another word that occurs is "foolhardy." The film focuses so closely on their tight-knit comraderie that South Africa and apartheid itself seem like photo ops.
