Avnet Inc. plans to lay off 62 employees as it closes its Coppell, Texas facility. The Phoenix-based electronics and IT company announced the plans in a recent Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notice, which outlined the plans for the facility that employs 71 people. Avnet (NYSE: AVT) plans to keep six employees to help with wrap up-duties before laying them off Sept.
