Authorities are investigating the cause of an intense, two-alarm fire that destroyed a home overnight on Two Penny Lane in Gloucester.Firefighters arrived on the scene about 11:20 p.m. Saturday to find the home fully ablaze, with flames exiting the structure in multiple directions, authorities said. The Gloucester Fire Department decided to fight the fire from outside after it had determined that no one was inside the home.Authorities said the exterior attack was also used to prevent the fire from spreading and to minimize flying embers and debris.
