Aurora police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man by officers responding to a fight in a parking lot Thursday afternoon. The fight, which took place in a parking lot in the 11900 block of East 16th Avenue, involved a man “armed with an assault-style long gun,” according to an Aurora police post on X. Police said on X that the man struck by gunfire was taken to a hospital, where he died. No officers were injured in the shooting, Aurora police said.
