Aurora officials are investigating a homicide after Denver police officers discovered a body in a dumpster Monday. Officers determined the victim had been taken to Olive Street in a van, which they located near the scene, and disposed of in a dumpster, the release said. Detectives with Aurora’s Major Crime Homicide Unit took over the investigation Monday afternoon after witnesses told Denver officers the victim was killed during a Saturday night shooting in Aurora’s Del Mar Parkway neighborhood, the release said. According to the release, the shooting was not reported to 911. The victim will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
