Ariza, 24, of Maple Avenue, is being charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, interfering with police, being a felon in possession of a firearm and theft of a firearm. After working with U.S. Marshals, members of the Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad, Special Response Team and uniformed patrol officers converged on a Center Street home in Glenbrook and took Ariza into custody without incident. [...] police said officers scouring the crime scene found a .40-caliber handgun that matched the caliber of the spent bullet casings at the scene. When they searched Ariza’s living area, they found and seized about three grams of crack cocaine, several electronic scales, packaging supplies for selling drugs on the street and $712 in cash.
