More than three years after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland left 17 dead and 17 injured, Nikolas Cruz no longer needs a weapon, or intent, to inflict pain. His presence is enough. For some would-be jurors in a jail assault trial, it was too much.
