Asian Carp Fight To Feature New Barrier, Stepped-up Detection

Federal agencies will spend $57.3 million in 2016 on wide-ranging efforts to control bighead and silver carp — a pair of Asian carp species that have moved up the Mississippi and Illinois rivers and potentially threaten fish populations in the Great Lakes.
