Arrest Made In Attempted Murder Of Teen In Stamford Bodega

STAMFORD — A city man already jailed on armed robbery and arson charges related to carjackings of food delivery drivers has now been accused of the attempted murder of a teen inside a West Side bodega, police said. Tyreik Gantt, 19, of Connecticut Avenue, was charged Friday with two counts of attempted murder and a single count of conspiracy to commit murder. Gantt has also been charged with torching one of the carjacked vehicles in Stamford after he was caught on surveillance video pouring gallons of gasoline into the back seat of the car less than a mile from where it was found fully engulfed in flames, police said.
