Area Senator To Miss Week For Navy School

A northeast Indiana senator will miss the last week of the state legislative session due to a two-week naval deployment. Sen. Jim Banks, R-Columbia City, leaves March 8 for Newport, R.I., to complete his 15-month Navy Supply Corps School training. It is his fourth trip in the past 18 months.
