WOODSTOCK – A Rockford man accused of fleeing from police, breaking an officer’s finger and trying to escape custody by crawling through a hospital ceiling was taken to the McHenry County Jail on Friday. Jordan P. Carmody, 23, formerly of the 2500 block of North Rockton Avenue, was taken Friday from the Lake County Jail to the McHenry County Jail for several ongoing charges stemming from multiple arrests. Cumulatively, Carmody is charged with obstructing justice, aggravated fleeing police, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, resisting a peace officer, obstructing identification, aggravated assault of a peace officer, criminal damage to property, attempt to escape, aggravated battery to a peace officer, aggravated battery and driving more than 35 mph over the speed limit, charging documents show. Those charges are the result of six ongoing cases filed in McHenry County.
