By Riley Manning Daily Journal TUPELO – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints kicked off its sixth annual Week of the Family in Tupelo last night with a dinner at the church. During the past few weeks, the church has worked with the Tupelo Public School District on having students write an essay on how their family is strong. The winners of the essay contest were presented cash prizes courtesy of Renasant and BancorpSouth banks Monday night. “It’s been really easy to work with the schools,” said director of the church’s Tupelo stake Gina Thorderson.
