At the water’s edge of the North Shore neighborhood, residents can say they are living the latest chapter in a long history of people enjoying the Trout River. In the 1920s, the area called North Shore Park had a public beach where people paid 10 cents to take a dip in the river. Today, residents can stand on the shoreline and spot dolphins breaking the river’s surface.
