MIAMI — Bam Adebayo hardly is one to deny his emotional side. So when the Miami Heat arranged for the crowd at Kaseya Center to sing Happy Birthday to his mother at Saturday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns at Kaseya Center, it touched the veteran center deeply.
That side of Adebayo and the story of a single mother raising him in a double-wide trailer in North Carolina has been ever present since his arrival in the first round of the 2017 NBA draft.
But there also is another emotional side, one that has been fostered to the degree that he was the only logical choice to succeed Udonis Haslem as the Heat’s captain last season, of a player with a complete buy-in not only to the team’s culture, but of also its expectations.

Mostert entered Sunday questionable with a hip injury, and the ailment will keep him out for the AFC East game as the Dolphins (5-7) look to keep playoff hopes alive.
Mostert was listed among Dolphins inactives announced 90 minutes before the 1 p.m.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) would mean CBP would collect $10.
