Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: APC) was issued a $159.5 million penalty by the U.S. District Court on Nov. 30 in relation to pollution caused by the Deepwater Horizon disaster. However, the penalty is far less that the Woodlands-based company was originally slated to pay for the 2010 incident.
