An American Heritage football player is in stable condition after suffering from a medical emergency during a game Friday night against Miami’s Booker T. Washington High School at Miami’s Traz Powell Stadium. Bruce Aven, American Heritage’s athletic director, said he saw the player Saturday and while he is still awaiting test results, he appeared to be in stable condition. “He’s talking, he’s communicating,” Aven said. American Heritage medical staff responded to the player during the first quarter of the football game after he collapsed.
