The Winchester High Alpine ski team often wonders what kind of snow it will encounter at Nashoba every week because of the thaw-freeze pattern of New England winters.In the first race of the season on Thursday, Jan 5, conditions were most definitely in freeze condition. This, combined without much snow created a surface that is best described as “hockey rink ice”.
