Aide Suspected Of Robbing Penrose-st. Francis Patient Arrested After Standoff

After a brief SWAT standoff, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office arrested 32-year-old David Aldrich in Peyton Thursday night. Aldrich was wanted on suspicion of stealing from a paralyzed hospital patient while he was working as a certified nursing aide, according to Gazette news partner KKTV. Officials did not say what charges he could face following Thursday's arrest. In August, the Sheriff's Office asked the public for help finding him, saying he stole a woman's credit card from her room while she was staying at Penrose-St.
