Officers responded to reports of gunshots near East 62nd Avenue and Jasmine Court on Sunday, according to a 6:43 a.m. statement from the Commerce City Police Department. When they arrived, officers found a dead man inside a car near the intersection and another man hiding nearby, according to the statement. Police officials did not confirm whether the victim was shot to death. The suspect and victim have not been publicly identified, but police officials said the man hiding near the crime scene was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder Sunday afternoon and booked into the Adams County Detention Facility.
