Iowa City-based testing company ACT will cut about 100 jobs as part of an overall organizational transition.The eliminated positions come from across the organization, the not-for-profit said in a statement released Wednesday. A spokesman would not say how many of those jobs might be in Iowa City.ACT employs more than 1,200, with some 900 based in Iowa City.In April 2016, the company said it would outsource some components of its operations, and eliminate others.
