Accion LLC, a nonprofit that helps Phoenix entrepreneurs with business loans, has received a $2 million award. Albuquerque-based Accion received the money Sept. 29 from the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund. The $2 million grant will fuel lending activity and organizational support in funding 285 micro-enterprise loans in Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.
