Professional services company Accenture is creating a 30,000-strong Nvidia Business Group to scale up its enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) capacity and encourage increased adoption of the technologies. In recent end-of-year filings, Accenture revealed that generative AI demand drove $3 billion in bookings for the recently closed fiscal year. They intend for the new business group to continue to drive this arm of their business and to introduce what they are calling ‘agentic AI’. In an announcement on Wednesday (Oct, 2) Accenture describes agentic AI as the “next frontier of gen AI.” Agentic AI is designed to perform multiple tasks and learn from its experiences, acting independently and achieving goals with little human intervention.
