A large scale Centurylink outage in Skamania County means that some residents may not be able to call 911 to report emergencies. The company has offered no timeline for restoration. The outage, which began Sunday morning, has caused intermittent service interruptions and outright failures of the 911 network, according to the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office. The problem, which is only affecting local telephone service, stems from Centurylink, which is having problems with its network and routine equipment, the sheriff’s office said.
