SOLVAY, N.Y. (AP) — The names of seven upstate New York men who died in World War I are being added to a war memorial in a suburban Syracuse community. The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports (http://bit.ly/S02xds ) that the new names will be added in the coming weeks to the war memorial in the village of Solvay. A relative, Eileen Mashimo of New Hampshire, researched his military background and gave it to a local veterans group so Hourihan's name could be added to the memorial.
