4-h Camp Allows Kids To Reach Potential

By Lydia Nuzum Clay County 4-H camp director Karen Nicholas was astounded by what her former camper had told her - that his experiences at 4-H camp as a child drove him to medical school."You know, I wouldn't have considered doing this if it wasn't for camp," the former camper told Nicholas during a chance encounter.Nicholas, who knew the positive impact 4-H camp could have on youth, was still surprised, and asked him why he felt that way."All those activities made me more confident in myself," he told her.
