Recently my 1999 Civic GX check engine light came on. I took it in for service. The GX trained tech at Garff Honda in SLC said that the code said the EGR had gone south. $163 for the part. Ten minutes to replace it. None in stock. I told him to order it.

June 2007. On the 2006 and newer Civic GX, the low pressure CNG filter is much more expensive, $253.80 at Majestic Honda which is 30% off retail price. I'm not sure why a fuel filter cost so much, but changing it every 10-15k miles will eat up a lot of the maintenance savings typically afforded by natural gas combustion.

yes, any honda dealership will honor the warranty. it is also good to know that they are an authorized GX dealer, b/c otherwise you would have to travel to have any GX-specific word done (aka. high-pressure fuel line, etc.) any honda dealership can work on other aspects of the car - such as suspension, brakes, etc. that aren't GX-specific.

conversely, if you go through a Fastrak lane during carpool hours, you will pay $4 regardless if you are a SUV, Civic GX, or legitimate carpool. they are separate systems, Fastrak controlled and patrolled by Fastrak, and Carpool and Cash lanes via California Highway Patrol and Caltrans.
