BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — An 80-year-old carousel built in the Buffalo area and kept in storage for decades will be returning to western New York as part of the ongoing effort to bring attractions to the city's Lake Erie waterfront district. Officials announced Tuesday that $600,000 in state funding will help refurbish the menagerie carousel and move it to Canalside.
