The 18-wheeler was exiting a strip mall when low hanging power lines caught onto the 18-wheeler, Beaumont Fire Department Chief Eric Champman said. The power lines sparked and caused a palm tree to catch fire, but Champman said no injuries have been reported. Power is expected to be restored to surrounding businesses by the end of today, Champman said. IMakris@beaumontenterprise.com Twitter.com/imakris
