WOODBURY - A Manhattan developer bought 130 acres next to the Harriman Metro-North station for $12 million last month, moving forward with plans for a 1,475-home, commuter-friendly development that has been in the works for three years.Public records filed Wednesday show that The Besen Group made the purchase on June 20 and borrowed $10.5 million from Gamma Real Estate of Manhattan to finance the deal.
