"Complimentary" vs "complementary" To me a free breakfast is a complement (goes with) to the room charge...and not a compliment (a positive remark) on any level. Unless the hotel is complimenting me on my choice of their property by providing me breakfast...which seems like a stretch. "Free of" vs. "Free from" So free from is used to indicate protection from something problematic, and free of (which doesn't correspond neatly to freedom of) is used to indicate the absence of something: this shampoo is free of parabens. More than an estimated million Floridians are now using weight-loss medications, and experts believe that number will continue to rise. Nationally, about 15 million adults have used injectable medicines for weight loss, according to the Gallup National Health and Well-Being Index.
As usage increases, the effect is measurable.
About 10 million Americans believe they have benefited from the injections, Gallup’s survey shows.
