12-hour Relay For Cancer Victims, Survivors Begins Friday In Colorado Springs

More than 200 people will lace up their sneakers this weekend in honor of those who have battled cancer. The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Colorado Springs is from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday at the Liberty High School track. As of noon Thursday, the 240 participants that had registered, including 42 teams and 40 cancer survivors, had raised more than $66,000. Festivities will begin with an opening ceremony and celebratory lap for cancer survivors.
