One person was killed and three others injured in a shooting in Aurora on Thursday afternoon, according to the Aurora Police Department. Police were alerted just after 3 p.m. Thursday about the shooting, which occurred in a parking lot behind a business on East Colfax Avenue at Ironton Street, interim Aurora police Chief Heather Morris said during an afternoon news conference. “This is really tragic because a man has lost his life and we have three other people who have been injured,” she said. The man died at the scene and the three injured people — two men and a woman — were taken to area hospitals, police said.
