A mobile home fire in east Colorado Springs created a smoke plume seen for miles early Thursday morning. Cimarron Hills firefighters responded to The Springs mobile home community before 5:30 a.m. Thursday. They were able to contain the fire to the single home where it started and had it under control within an hour. One person has died according to multiple reports, one citing information from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. "I see flames shooting out of the window," said Max Patterson, who lives nearby.
