Two boats collided near the Camas Slough bridge Sunday evening, killing one person and injuring two others. Ambulances and fire boats were called to the state Highway 14 bridge shortly before 7:40 p.m. Emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian indicated one person was killed. Two others were hurt, one critically, with the other suffering relatively minor injuries. Firefighters had to set up a rope system to help pull up the patients, and struggled in muddy conditions, according to radio traffic. This post will be updated.
