At least one person is dead in a fatal Northglenn crash that shut down 112th Avenue Saturday evening. The crash happened near 112th Avenue and Fox Run Parkway, the Northglenn Police Department said in a 5:02 p.m. statement. Police said 112th Avenue is shut down in both directions between York and Steele streets for the crash investigation.

A man was shot by Fountain police officers after allegedly threatening Walgreens employees with a bomb and a gun during a robbery, police said. Around 10 a.m. Saturday, Fountain officers responded to 7910 Fountain Mesa Road for reports of a robbery at Walgreens, according to a news release from the police department. “The suspect had threatened employees that he was armed with a gun and a bomb,” police stated in the release. After the robbery, the man — who has not been identified by police — fled on foot toward a nearby Lowe’s in the 7700 block of Fountain Mesa Road, where officers found him in the parking lot, police said. Two officers fired at least one shot each, striking the man, police said.
