At age 21, Jay Williams had a life that most people only dream of: He was a rookie player in the NBA with a lucrative contract with the Chicago Bulls and a promising future. Then, in 2003, it all came to an abrupt halt when Williams got into a near-fatal motorcycle accident that ended his career and threatened his ability to walk again. Suddenly, Williams found himself lost in more ways than one.

Senh: I remember him. He was the number one draft pick. He had a promising future that ended with one freak accident. The Bulls organization were supportive and generous with him. I remember reading that they would pay him half a million a year for the rest of his life. That's more than what doctors and lawyers make. Still, if basketball was your life, and you can no longer do what you love, it's hard.
